When a dragonfly flutters by, you may not realize, but it’s the greatest flier in nature. It can hover, fly backwards, even upside down at a speed of up to 30 miles per hour. Four wings, each capable of operating independently, rotating their wings forward and back on an axis

 

I was sitting with camera in hand by some verbena plants when a dragonfly, usually elusive, started a “flirtation” with me. He (or she) kept striking different poses as a model might for a fashion photographer while moving from one flower to another. Here is my “MODEL”.
